The most asked question of 2018 was…
“What Wedding Stationery do I need?”
Wedding Stationery can seem confusing, right?
I’m here to help.

With so much wedding stationery ‘stuff’ on offer it can become slightly overwhelming.
( I am aware I probably add to this – our price list reads like an encyclopedia!)
So, to try and make it easier I have come up with simple explanations of the wedding stationery pieces on offer.
With a complementary set of ongoing series of CHEAT SHEETS/FREE GUIDES to download.

At the bottom of the post you will find the link to download a PDF version of the information.
The below explains what each piece of wedding stationery is, what it is used for. Then importantly, if you need it.

So you now know what everything is and whether it is absolutely necessary.
However like everything wedding related, it is all a personal choice.
Save the date cards are a lovely item to send. They are usually the first exciting thing you can order to announce your wedding. However I would think carefully as to whether you need the expense. Maybe you could spend that little more on an amazing wedding invitation suite with all the bells and whistles?
I always recommend (if budget allows) creating a invitation suite that is as informative as possible. Think like one of your guests – what would you like to receive? Of course you need to know the basics. So the where and when, but then what else would you like to know from a wedding invitation?
With that in mind, my suggestion is always to order the wedding invitation, an information card and a RSVP card with a return addressed envelope.
Including the extra finishes, will add to the beauty of receiving the invitation, but these do rely on available budget more than anything.
Adding an information card is great way to help your guests. You can give them useful venue addresses and accommodation suggestions. You can also inform them of any other details which you feel they should know.
Then to make it easy for them to reply, add a RSVP card with a return addressed envelope. You could even put on a stamp – one less thing for them to do!
For your evening only guests, again if you think it will help them add the relevant cards to your package.
With email and digital invitations around there are lots of different ways to invite guests to your wedding. However I can honestly say there is no better feeling than sending a beautiful, thoughtful wedding invitation. The anticipation of knowing your guests will soon receive a perfect, considered invitation from you is the best feeling! It is another part of your wedding experience and one not to be missed.
